CONNECT LIVED EXPERIENCE
CO-TEACHING PROJECTS
This part of the project is dedicated to developing co-teaching activities where experts by experience partner with staff members to bring real-world perspectives into the classroom. Here’s how we plan to do this:

Co-teaching nine specific courses across areas like disability studies, social inclusion, critical social work, and community-based practices.

Equipping experts by experience with the skills needed to teach and support students using their own lived experiences, helping them guide students in their professional development.

Expanding the knowledge and skills of faculty and support staff by integrating lived experience as a recognized form of knowledge alongside academic and professional perspectives.
Through this initiative, we aim to elevate lived experience as a valuable educational resource and create opportunities for deeper collaboration between higher education institutions and user-led organizations. By bringing experiential knowledge to the heart of curricula, universities can become more community-focused and challenge traditional academic structures. This objective brings us closer to fulfilling the goal of embedding lived experience meaningfully in higher education.

STUDENT SUPPORT FORMATS
This work package focuses on creating support systems that truly consider the lived experiences of students in vulnerable situations. While traditional support structures in higher education typically rely on professional and academic perspectives, they rarely integrate insights from lived experience.
Our objectives are to:

Foster an inclusive culture where students feel comfortable sharing their lived experiences.

Create supportive spaces for students to openly discuss their experiences and insights, making room for peer-to-peer support and innovative support formats.

Engage teaching and support staff in collaborative support approaches that blend professional, academic, and experiential knowledge.
By building these inclusive support systems, we aim to strengthen social inclusion in higher education and encourage a more holistic approach to student support.

THE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK FOR EXPERTS BY EXPERIENCE
The International Network for Experts by Experience (INEBE) is a collaborative initiative that brings together individuals with lived experience from countries such as The Czech Republic, Belgium, Italy and Norway. The network seeks to create a united platform of experts by experience. With aims as fostering inclusive dialogue, co-creation and sharing of experience about involvement of lived experience in university educational setting across borders. While also hoping to create everlasting bonds and connections. By connecting experts by experience, the network promotes mutual learning, empowerment, and systemic change in education.
